Tools for Ozone Therapy

Oxygen Equipment

Oxygen is necessary for ozone production.  There are a couple ways to provide oxygen to your ozone generator:  with an oxygen tank or an oxygen concentrator.    Oxygen tanks are cheaper but sometimes require a prescription to fill, and have to be refilled regularly.  Oxygen concentrators never need a refill or a prescription but are more expensive at the outset. Which you use depends on your preferences and resources.  If you already have an oxygen tank, it can easily be used with an ozone generator if you have the right tubing and adapters.

If you prefer a tank, feel free to call us at 888-742-3404 or email info@promolife.com.  Below you can find out about our oxygen  concentrators. Purchase information is located below the description. Also see Why Oxygen?

Oxygen Concentrator

This is our low flow (up to 2 LPM) oxygen concentrator, which takes room air and concentrates it up to 95% pure. It is perfect for using with your ozone generator. Includes the tubing you need to hook it up to an ozone generator and two nasal cannulas.

How Does It Work?

This Oxygen Concentrator is designed with a series of electric motors, compressors, and sieves to concentrate the oxygen in the air that we breathe (air is roughly 20% oxygen, 80% nitrogen) up to 90-95% purity. This highly concentrated oxygen can then be used as an oxygen source for your ozone generator, supplemental oxygen for home use, or as the oxygen source for your Oxygen Bar business. It is a work horse design that has supplied hospitals and medical centers with oxygen for many years.

Why Oxygen?

Oxygen is one of the basic elements of life. Remember CHON from high school chemistry? Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen and Nitrogen.

Our body requires tremendous amounts of oxygen, especially under stress or strenuous activity. The average person needs some three liters of oxygen per minute while resting and more than ten liters per minute during strenuous activity. Our brain alone, while it makes up only two percent of our total body mass, requires over 20 percent of the body’s oxygen needs. Oxygen rapidly diffuses or passes right through the thin membranes of the air sacs in the lungs and dissolves into the blood plasma in the capillaries that surround the air sacs.

Although fish can survive on this dissolved oxygen in the blood plasma alone, we can not; we require much more oxygen. This is the evolutionary role of red blood cells; their purpose is to carry tremendous amounts of oxygen to all cells, more so than the blood plasma can carry alone. Unfortunately, we rarely use the full capacity of our lungs. Breathing rapidly increases oxygen intake very minimally and only to a certain point. And in most cities, the oxygen content of the air can be so thin because oxygen can lock up with air pollutants from cars that people, especially those with respiratory ailments, are easily affected. Air is 21% oxygen, in polluted cities it can drop to 18%.

The primary reason some of the herbal supplements such as gingko biloba are successful in increasing memory and mental sharpness is that they dilate the blood vessels, providing more oxygenated blood to the brain. Studies have shown that the only major difference between a healthy middle aged adult and a healthy teenager is in their efficiency of transferring oxygen from the environment to the muscles during strenuous activity.
